２０１０年度リポートのお知らせ

この年末か、おそらくは年明け早々になりそうですが、２０１０年度リポート「秀吉の大坂城・後篇 ～中井家蔵『本丸図』に隠された大改造の跡～」をお届けすべく作業を鋭意、進行中です。

そこで今回はやや余談としまして、今夏に５回にわたって記事を書いた岐阜城で、その後、大きな出来事が重なったため、それを少しだけフォローしておきたいと存じます。
　
　
　
＜金箔瓦片の出土で、信長居館は「豪華説」に方向転換！？＞
　
　
　
お聞きのように今年の発掘調査で、いわゆる明治大帝像前の曲輪にあがる「上り通路」が発見され、そこから約３cm四方の金箔瓦片が出て来ました。

岐阜市教育委員会の発表では「今回の金箔瓦の出土により、中心の建物は豪華だったことをうかがわせる」というコメントがあったとか…

その金箔瓦片の現物の印象は、ネット情報（例えば『山城踏査日記＆城郭関連情報』さんの記事）によれば、「説明されないとわからないくらい小さい」そうですが、やはり世間一般は “金” に鋭敏であって、あたかも救世主のような瓦片になってしまうのかもしれません。

一時は専門家の間から “信長公記にある御殿の豪華さは割り引いて考えねばならない” といった声も出ていたはずで、もう天と地ほどの落差です。

ただし、もし金箔瓦の出土がこれ一個で終わるとなると、それはそれでまた世間の受取り方も変わってしまうのかもしれません。

かく言う私は、人騒がせな金箔瓦片よりも、賛否両論を浴びる「闇(くらがり)通路」の方が面白く、本当に「上り通路」の上に建物が載るほど強度があったのか？　これがまた、建築学の先生方からどんな声があがるのかと興味津々なのです。
　
　
　
＜岐阜城跡が文化財保護法による国の「史跡」に指定＞
　
　
　
さて、もう一つの大きな動きとして、岐阜城跡（金華山の北半分、山頂の本丸や砦が分布する２０９ヘクタール）が国の「史跡」になったそうです。

「史跡」と言われてもピンと来ない感がありますが、でも、問題の山麓居館周辺はどう線引きされたのか？？ と思い立ち、とりあえず「信長居館発掘調査」ブログにある「岐阜城跡の史跡指定範囲」という図を使って、お馴染みの図にトレースしてみました。すると…

山麓居館跡に京の東山山荘（現慈照寺／銀閣）をダブらせた図では…

ご覧のとおり、どうやら「史跡」の範囲は、絶妙に、ロープウェー山麓駅やその下の岐阜公園の半分をはずしてあるようなのです。

これは図らずも、先程の発掘調査ブログにある「その範囲はほぼ現在の金華山国有林全域と岐阜公園の現在調査を行っている範囲となり」「これは城域と考えられていた範囲が指定対象となった」という市側の認識どおりです。

このような役所の線引きは、現実の社会の諸条件に沿ったものでしょうが、将来的にこれ自体がジワジワと既成事実化していくものです。

ですから当ブログが申し上げている、信長公居館は、岐阜公園の下半分の平地に「銀閣にならった月見のための、白い四階建て楼閣」として建てられたのでは…… などという “枠外の仮説” は、こんなことから、無言のうちに排除されていくのかもしれません。
