本丸に馬場？？織田信長の天主構想の解明に向けて
【８月２０日 緊急追記】
昨日まで２日間、尖閣問題で予定外の文面を掲示しておりましたが、事実は小説より奇なり、ということなのでしょうか。
驚きました。
→ 尖閣諸島上陸の中国人活動家が中国国旗を燃やしていたことが判明／中国人「えっ？」

仮説：当初（計画）の安土城の主郭部／前々回の記事より

さてさて、前々回の仮説のイラストで、ご覧の伝本丸に「馬場など」と書き込みました点について、若干の疑問をお感じになった方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか。

城の本丸に「馬場」などあったのか、と。

ですが、この「馬場など」はそれなりの根拠もあって書き込んだものでして、今回はこの点のご説明を手始めに、このところ進めて来ました “信長の安土城主郭部や天主をめぐる当初の構想” について、さらに探ってみたいと思います。

会津若松城の本丸周辺

「馬場など」と書きました第一の動機（根拠）は、ご覧の会津若松城の本丸に「御馬場」があったと『会津鶴ヶ城御本丸之図』に記されていることです。

「御馬場」＝図の赤いエリアは、本丸御殿のうちでも最も公的な建物群である「表御殿」（大書院や小書院など→ 赤エリアのすぐ左側の建物）の庭先にあたる場所で、こんな場所で馬に乗れる人物は城主以外にはありえない、という位置になります。
　
　
これが果たしてどこまで日常的に使われたかは、歴代の城主（蒲生、上杉、加藤、保科・松平）によっても色々だったでしょうから、「御馬場」は単なる伝承地に過ぎなくなっていた時期もあるかと思われます。

しかし、この城の本丸御殿が南（上図の右側）から「表御殿」「中御殿」「奥御殿」と並んでいて、各々の御殿の配置や平面形をつぶさに見ますと、どこか豊臣大坂城の表御殿と奥御殿をギュッとこの場所に詰め込んだような印象があるために、なかなか興味深いのです。

どういうことかと申しますと、例えばご覧のイラストの表御殿を、まるごと向きを９０度（時計方向に）変えて、奥御殿の西側（図では右側）にギュギュッと強引に押し込みつつ、その全体を奥御殿のスペースに納まるように縮小・削減したかのような印象があるのです。

これは当サイトでかねがね申し上げてきた“豊臣大坂城と会津若松城の類似性”をいっそう補強するものでして、この観点から前述の「御馬場」を考えた場合、またひとつ疑問がわいて来ます。

この「馬屋？」と記した長屋は、これまでの諸先生方の著書ではただ「長屋」とだけ記されて来たもので、かの中井家蔵『本丸図』や『城塞繹史』『諸国古城図』の図中には何も書き込みが無く、詳しい使い方が特定できていない長屋です。

ですから、もしこの長屋を秀吉自身の愛馬を入れた馬屋だと仮定しますと、上記の会津若松城の「御馬場」ともつながる可能性が浮上して来て、なおかつこの長屋の手前の「御上台所」との間の細長いスペースは、面積的に「御馬場」とほぼ同じであり、秀吉一人がちょっと馬をせめる程度のことなら、じゅうぶんな広さだとも言えそうなのです。
　
　
　
＜天主＝立体的御殿の、最初の動機はいったい何だったのか＞
　
　

仮説：当初（計画）の安土城の主郭部／「馬場など」は後世の城に受け継がれていた？

さて、以上のように冒頭イラストの「馬場など」は、安土城と後世の城…すなわち蒲生氏郷（がもう うじさと／信長旧臣）ゆかりの会津若松城や、秀吉の豊臣大坂城との関連性から、あえて想像力をふくらませて書き込んだものでして、こうしてみますと、安土城天主とその周囲の曲輪の構想がいくぶんハッキリして来るのではないでしょうか。
　
　
つまり豊臣大坂城では、この「馬屋など」の場所におびただしい規模の「奥御殿」が入ってきて、曲輪の面積が大幅に拡張された、とも言えるでしょう。

で、それと同時に、秀吉の天守は物理的機能が “宝物蔵” に限定（削減）されたわけなのです。
　
　
このような天守の変遷（諸機能の移転）を、ここで試しに逆算して、より原初的な姿を想像してみますと、信長が安土城天主にこめた最初の構想をボンヤリと思い描くことが出来るのではないでしょうか。

＜以上の逆算による仮説＞ 信長は当初、七重天主という立体的御殿で
　安土城の「奥御殿」機能を集約したかったのではないか…

… 当サイトは４年前のスタート時から、天守は天下布武の革命記念碑（維新碑）ではなかったかという仮説を申し上げ、その天守が高層化したのも、中国古来の易姓革命にもとづく天命（天道）を聞くためには（→参考記事）当然の成り行きであったろうという考え方で一貫してまいりました。

ただ、そうだとはしても、天守が単なる「塔」ではなく、また詰ノ丸御殿の屋根上の単なる「物見櫓」でもなく、その内部を「立体的御殿」としたことには、何らかの契機や意図があったはずだという感があります。

その意味で、上図のような安土城天主と周囲の曲輪との、機能上の関係性（代替や集約）に注目してみるのも面白いのではないかと思うのです。
　
　
で、歴史的に見ますと、信長の後継者の秀吉は、大坂築城で早くもその信長の天主構想をねじ曲げていたわけで、そこにも何らかの経緯（いきさつ）があったはずだと思われてならないのです。

安土城の完成までに、自らの天主構想をあえて崩したのは、信長その人だった！？
