新設ＨＰやリポートそのものの完成を急いでいる最中に、「こぼれ話」もないだろうとは思いますが、ブログ画面でご覧の「絵」についてチョットご紹介します。

これらの天守の絵はphotoshopで描いております。

サイトを作ろうと考え始めた２年前、３ＤのＣＧを勉強すべきか、２Ｄで描いていこうか迷った時期がありましたが、参考本にphotoshop１本で建築パースを描いている記事があり、そのレトロ調が「いにしえの天守」を蘇らせるにイイのではないかと感じました。

実際の制作は、ご覧のように、長年作ってきた３３３分の１スケールの城郭模型（写真は制作途中のもの）をベースにして画像化しています。

城郭マニアの方にはすぐ見抜かれてしまうと思いますが、細かいところで色々と修正しながら描きました。
極楽橋から入った奥の石塁、淀殿の屋敷、豊国廟の鳥居、菱櫓のサイズなど、模型と画像には制作の時期差があるため、自らの研究成果が色々と反映されています。

結果的に、２年前にphotoshopを選択したのは良かったのではと思っています。
幼少期にプラモデル世代だった私にとっては、出来上がった天守の絵が、プラモデル箱で馴染んだ小松崎茂さんの絵のようにも見えてくるからです。

今後さらに描いていく予定の天守は、いずれも現存しないものばかりを予定しています。
そして、それらは建築的復元というよりは、安土桃山期から江戸初期の武家や領民にとって「天守はどういう存在として見えたか？」を主眼に描きたいと努めています。

その意味でも、今後もphotoshopのレトロ調を維持しつつ、ある程度の枚数が集積したあかつきには、「天守画」というジャンルとして集大成できたら、と願望はふくらむ一方です。
