豊臣大坂城・石山本願寺城・徳川再建大坂城 176件のコメント

いまだに解明しきれない豊臣時代の大坂城天守

完成間近のリポートに関連して、ある歴史的な「混迷」についてチョットご紹介します。

まず下に並べてみたのは、幻の豊臣時代の大坂城天守について、その復元研究の歩みが分かりやすく表紙等に描かれた本です。

左の本は、１９３６年（昭和１１年!!）に豊臣時代の本丸平面図（『城塞繹史』）を発見した故・櫻井成廣先生が、自作の大型模型の写真を載せた本です。
――― この模型の写真は、１９７０年の著作『豊臣秀吉の居城 大阪城編』等にも同じ写真が載っています。櫻井先生は『大坂冬の陣図屏風』『大坂夏の陣図屏風』という二つの屏風絵に描かれた天守を“融合”させて、写真のような復元をされました。
(※下に拡大写真あります)

中央の本は、昭和５０年代に、かの安土城天主の復元論争（ｖｓ内藤晶先生）で知られた、建築家の故・宮上茂隆先生による復元です。
――― 宮上先生は、上記の二つの屏風絵のうち、『大坂夏の陣図屏風』がより正しい描写であると提唱し、それに基づいた復元をされました。

そして右の本は、いま城郭研究でめざましい活躍を見せている、広島大学の三浦正幸先生による復元です。
――― 三浦先生は、上記の二つの屏風絵の天守が、あまりにも建築的特徴が異なっている、という「矛盾」に対処するため、二種類の復元図を示しておられます。
表紙のＣＧ画像は、その二つのうち『大坂夏の陣図屏風』に基づく方の復元ですが、上記の宮上先生の復元ともかなり違うものになっています。
　
　
このように豊臣時代の大坂城天守の復元においては、二つの屏風絵の「矛盾」を克服するために、いずれの城郭研究者の方々も、多大なる労力を費やして来たのです。

そして結局のところ、いまだに、この矛盾を解決する決定的な論拠は見出されていません。

予告中の「渾身の第１弾リポート」と「驚異の２００８冬季リポート」は、そうした大坂城天守の復元をめぐる紆余曲折を、一気に整理し直そうという、大胆不敵な試みでもあります。

城郭ファンはもちろん、城郭研究者の方々にとっても “コロンブスの卵” のような仮説と指摘を多数盛り込んでおります。近日公開！！
