続イラスト解説　なんと三重目に「開かずの祭壇」が？…

前回、当サイト仮説の安土城天主においては、各階ごとに薄暗さ（明るさ）がまったく異なり、「そういう各階を埋め尽くした彩色豊かな障壁画とは、じつは実際の鑑賞（見栄え）は二の次であって、別の主たる目的が先行した結果ではないのか」などと申し上げました。

本来ならば、今回はこの話のケリをつけるべきなのでしょうが、その前にもう一つ、この機会に是非ともお伝えしたい、ちょっと不思議な事柄がありまして、今回はそちらの方をご紹介させていただくことにします。

天主の三重目を色づけ／二重目「北之方御土蔵」の真上に部屋がある（左の張出し部分）

かねてから気になっていたのが『天守指図』で三重目（天主台上の二層目）の北端、すなわち二重目「北之方御土蔵（『安土日記』より）」の真上にある部屋でして、これをイラストで見ますと、グリーンに色付けしたうちの左端の張出し部分になります。

何故、ここが気になるかと申しますと…

『天守指図』三重目より／ここだけ『信長公記』等に該当する部屋の記録が無い

よく見ますと、北（下）壁の中央に幅２間の段？ その壁外に破風

拡大して見ますと、ご覧のとおり下階の土蔵とは内部で連絡していたようにも見えず、したがってここは “土蔵の二階部分” ということではなさそうです。

そして（※当サイトは池上右平の文字の書き込みをすべて疑問視しておりますが…）部屋の真ん中に「御くらノ上さしき」と書かれ、北壁に張り付いた幅２間の段（階段付き）には「たん」「さか」と書き込まれています。
　
　
この段らしきものは、思わず姫路城天守にある「石打棚」という、高い窓と床の高低差をおぎなう狙撃手用の段を連想させますが、安土城『天守指図』の場合、どうしてこの位置にそういうものが必要なのか、まったく分かりません。
　
　
それは内藤昌先生の復元案においても、この部分の張出しの壁面には（仕方なく）窓を設けず、わざわざすぐ上の（高い位置の）破風内に小窓を設ける、というチョット苦しい復元にならざるをえなくなったほどです。

そして内藤先生はこの部屋について、著書ではごく簡単にしか触れておられません。

…「御くらノ上さしき」（東西四間×南北三間）がある。Ⅰ・Ⅱ・Ⅲ類本にまったく記述がないのは、祖本の記録者貞勝が、特殊な場所ゆえ拝見しなかった結果と思われる。
　
　
「特殊な」というのは、この文章に特段の補足説明がないことから「御殿のうちに入らない別種の」という意味のようですが、その一方で、『信長記』『信長公記』類の分類（「Ⅰ・Ⅱ・Ⅲ類本」）の中に「まったく記述がない」こと、また天主を拝見した村井「貞勝」が「拝見しなかった結果と思われる」と指摘された辺りは、さすがだと思われます。

何故なら、織田信長は村井貞勝らに ＜この部屋も意図的に見せなかった＞( ! ! ）という可能性が生まれるわけで、このことに私なんぞはビンビンと過剰反応してしまうからです。

はからずも『天守指図』が示唆する、信長が秘して見せなかった部屋…　しかもその部屋の北壁（つまり部屋に入って正面に見える壁）に謎の段が設けられている…

ひょっとして、問題の２間幅の段は「祭壇」ではなかったのか…　などと申し上げれば、まーたトンデモない事を！ とおしかりを受けそうで心配ですが、現に安土城内に摠見寺を建立したり、天主内に盆山を置いたりした信長のことですから、まんざらでもなかったように感じられてなりません。

まさか内側にステンドグラス！？信長が秘した「開かずの祭壇」か

よもや、かの「第六天魔王」の祭壇ということでもないでしょうが、これはずっと私の好奇心を誘って来た事柄です。

と申しますのも、当サイトの仮説ではこの階だけが＜極端に薄暗かった＞三重目において、その最も奥まったところに “開かずの祭壇が隠されていた” などというふうに想像しますと、矢も楯もたまらず、かく申し上げてしまった次第なのです。
