秀頼再建天守の復元画を大きなサイズでご覧下さい

今回も、右カラムの季刊リポートに盛り込めなかった話題の中からお届けします。

大阪城天守閣は、上の「入口 ENTER」をクリックすると表示されるホームページにメモしたように、周囲を色々な地下鉄等が走っていてアクセスのよい場所にあります。

そして教科書等でも認知度の高い『大坂夏の陣図屏風』は、この天守閣の３階に展示されています。

右下のモノクロ写真はその『大坂夏の陣図屏風』の天守周辺の描写ですが、実際はこうではなかったか、という仮説を絵にしてみたのが左下の絵です。
この絵は「秀頼再建天守と付段上の櫓（やぐら）」を描いたもので、「第１弾リポート」に掲載中の画像です。

リポートの中では両者の対比をよくお見せできなかったので、ここで改めてご覧いただきます。

　

ご覧のように、右の『大坂夏の陣図屏風』で天守の右側に描かれた櫓は、これまで本丸奥御殿の南東の櫓と考えられてきたものですが、左の絵のようなアングルで見てみますと、付段上にあった櫓とも考えられそうです。

さて、この左の絵で、櫓の下に斜めに設けられた石段と覆屋根は、例えば中井家蔵『本丸図』に示された石段に比べますと、格段に規模の大きいものです。

これには理由があるのですが、誠に恐縮ながら次回の季刊リポート「秀吉の大坂城・後篇」の中で “秀吉流天守台” とも言うべきものについて、まとめてご紹介する予定です。

また、天守直下の石垣をよくご覧になると、スロープを取り入れた構造で復元しております。
これは豊臣大坂城の天守台が、秀吉時代の姫路城天守台や、朝鮮出兵の本営・肥前名護屋城の天守台と「同じ構想」で築かれていた、と考えるための措置です。

この辺りについても、次回の季刊リポートでさらに詳しくご紹介したいと存じます。
